December's Weather

December’s days are shorter, but nature can still provide crisp, clear weather for exploring in Scotland. Snow may fall on the mountains, but is very unlikely to linger in the valleys and towns. Instead, perhaps a short winter shower, but remember, in a Scotland without rain we would have no lochs, no green hills and no whisky. As the month progresses, a bracing walk along the sea shore or in the hills will soon blow away the cobwebs of any festive excess!
