Majestic September

This is one of our favorite months. Lowland Scotland looks trim and golden from the stubble fields and the gathered harvest. There’s a sense of fruitfulness and plenty. Settled weather patterns can still mean plenty of warm days. The Highland Games programme culminates with the annual Braemar Highland Gathering, attended by the royal family – a most distinguished event and an opportunity to experience the Games’ unique combination of athleticism and musicianship. And you’ll enjoy getting to Braemar, as there is still plenty of blooming heather on the moors of Royal Deeside.
